The doctor profession is considered a noble and holistic profession. Most of the people who have chosen this profession are to provide care and help those in need. But at times few might have wondered if doctors chose this profession because of money?

No doubt that one can live a decent life with a doctor’s salary. The doctor’s journey is a tough one and full of challenges. It takes about 11 to 15 years to be a fully qualified GP or consultant from the time they started medical school.

You will be required to fulfil the English language requirements for all the registrations. You can do it by taking either IELTS or OET test. You need 7.5 bands overall in IELTS and 7 in each module. Both IELTS and OET is valid for only 2 years.

  1. Plab (Plab 1 and Plab 2)

PLAB1 is a multiple choice theory exam (MCQ). It contains 180 questions and lasts for 3 hours. You can take the exam any of the 4 times in a year. You can write it in the UK or your home country if you have a centre there. Centres in India: Banglore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Mumbai and New Delhi. The second exam is the plab 2. That is an OSCE exam, which means that contains 18 stations for 8 minutes each. Plab 2 has to be completed in the UK.

Sponsorship
